Mt. Rainier Shopping & Gifts
Shopping opportunities at Mount Rainier are concentrated around Ashford - on the SW
entrance of the park, Packwood - a community on the SE entrance of the park and the gift
stores in the Park Visitor Centers at Longmire, Paradise, and Sunset.  You will find a good
selection of souvenirs in the Park's gift stores and a variety of artist craft and gallery type
items in the Ashford stores.  For picking up gear for hiking and climbing check out Whittaker
Mountaineering in Ashford.  For antiques head to Packwood.  Nearby major shopping
destinations include Cabelas in Lacey at exit 110 off I-5 and the Centralia Factory Outlet

Inside Mt. Rainier National Park

Paradise:  Henry Jackson Visitor Center & Gift Shop at Paradise offers a large gift
and souvenir shop in addition to bookstore and snack bar/grill.

Paradise Inn Gift Shop, located in the Inn also features a gift shop and restaurant - open
summers only.

    Longmire:  The National Park Inn features a gift shop and
    restaurant.  Shown is the Longmire General Store.






Sunrise:  Sunrise Visitor Center, open in the summer, offers a book store and the
nearby Sunrise Day Lodge offers food service, and a gift shop.

Crystal Mountain Sport Shop
Near the Sunset entrance to the park caters to the winter ski crowd.

Gateway Inn located at the Park Entrance offers a souvenir gift shop along with a full-

Packwood

Packwood's Famous Bi-annual Flea market:  Thousands of travelers and bargain
hunters visit Packwood's Biannual Flea Markets, held during the Memorial Day and Labor
Day holiday weekends.  Both events are organized by the community, independent of a
centralized organization. Vendors offer a wide range of wares, ranging from antiques to toys.
    Food vendors and local restaurants are nearby should you
    feel hungry, while local motels and RV parks can help you
    find a place to hang your hat.  Most property and business
    owners along Highway 12 rent booth space and determine
